The Buckhorn is one of our favorite places to go. It’s a lovely drive over and we love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Our most recent visit was on a Thursday evening. Our sever was friendly, quick and attentive. We had the 12 Oz ribeye, mashed potatoes, salad and the fried green tomatoes appetizer. Everything was delicious and steaks cooked perfectly to our liking. Our server suggested a side of gravy to eat with my mashed potatoes to dip them in. Incredible! The bread was right out of the oven and warm. The tomatoes are so good and we brought some home with us. They taste so good cold dipped in the sauce provided. The bleu cheese dressing is homemade and is THE BEST I’ve ever had!! I’ve had a lot of bleu cheese in my life and THIS is it! Let me say the music was classic rock from the 70’s and made our evening even more enjoyable. Just a fun atmosphere where all of the servers are upbeat and work well together to make everyone’s dining experience top notch!

Loved this place. First time visit. Got the ribs and baked potato. I had pretty much given up on finding a place that does a baked potato right. Usually they taste like yesterdays batch, just microwaved. My potato was awesome. So was the salad and the ribs. Can't wait to go back and try a steak.

Was very busy but calling 45 min ahead of time got us a reservation and no wait. Food came quick, could barely eat half of it so even had lunch for the next day. Price was reasonable for everything we got and the waitress was funny and make the experience enjoyable

Our first time there and the food was delicious! I sweet tea was great! I rarely order tea because I usually only like my tea but this tea was great! If you're looking for extremely dim atmosphere this is your place....waitress was great! Great prices! I had already started eating and then took the picture. The mushroom fries, onion rings and we had a stacked burger salad (I think that's what it was called).....SO dang good!

Had a very yummy strip steak. I had it with blacken seasoning and it was cooked perfectly. I ordered a baked potato and side salad so was a great meal. Everything is always delicious here.

Real nice old school tavern/restaurant. Service was quick and polite. Rib appetizer was a perfect size for two. Wife had the small filet, cooked a perfect medium rare. I had the angus chopped steak… not fancy but very good. We just happened upon this spot while traveling.

This was the second time I was there. This place has become my family restaurant when we take our annual trip to Hamvention. The food has been great every time. They cook their steaks perfect every time. Last year I got the fish...perfect...this year I got the porter house..even better. I have been to places that are rated better according to food critics and I feel this place may not have the ambiance of a 5 star restaurant...but their food is way beyond 5 stars. I cant wait to get back.
